As Catholics, we recognize seven sacraments: Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Marriage, and Holy Orders. We truly honor these visible signs of inward grace at St. Francis de Sales, and we invite all parishioners and visitors to experience them with us. baptism
SFdS is a joyous place, especially when we welcome children and their families into the faith through baptism!
We celebrate the baptism of infants & young children on the third Sunday of ever month during the 11:00AM Mass. Baptism class is held the first Wednesday of the month @ 7:00PM for parent and godparents.
Bautizos en español son celebrados el tercer domingo del mes durante la Misa de las 12:30PM. La Clase de Bautismo es el primer miercoles de cada mes a las 7:00PM para los padres y padrinos.

communion & confirmation
The Eucharist is “the source and summit” of the Christian life while Confirmation “deepens our baptismal life.” It is through these rites that we truly arrive at the richness and grace of our faith.
Here at SFdS, we offer programs for both children and adults to become initiated into Catholic faith. Our youth program begins once a year in September and normally takes two years to complete. Adult inquirers can begin at any point throughout the year and can expect to finish within one year's time. Come and begin your faith journey at St. Francis de Sales!

First of all, OUR BLESSINGS & CONGRATULATIONS! Nothing makes us happier than to see two people dedicate their lives to each other and to God. We know that planning a wedding can be stressful, so we want to ensure the process is as easy as possible! Contact Kathy in our parish office at kathycalderon@sfdsnyc.org or 212.289.0425 to start planning your dream wedding!
Please contact the church at least six (6) months in advance of your intended wedding date. You will need to provide certificates of Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation for both parties. If dispensation is required (when either of the pair to be wed is not Catholic) you will need to schedule an appointment with Father Kelly.

ANNOINTING OF THE SICK
