Jayne Porcelli, aka our fearless leader, has dedicated forty years to parish ministry. Jayne became involved in ministry as a teenager which led to a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, and Theology from Molloy College, followed by a master’s in Religion and Religious Education from Fordham University and a Certification in Spiritual Direction. Jayne is also certified as a Director of the Catechumenate—she was the first to earn this honor from the Archdiocese of New York and is currently the only person in NYC who holds this certification.

Jayne has worked in extensively in parishes throughout New York and New Jersey in the areas of religious education, youth and family ministry, leadership training, and ongoing adult faith formation (RCIA). Here at SFDS, she directs the parish's spirituality and formation programs. Jayne is fluent in Spanish so feel free to say hola when you see her.
