From The Pastor’s Desk
Easter has been a glorious experience here at St. Francis de Sales.  Our liturgies beginning with Palm Sunday were exceptionally well attended.  Those who participated were prayerful and participatory, our lectors, Eucharistic ministers, music ministers, ministers of hospitality and our altar servers in a word wonderful.  For those coming to our community for the first time, we were able to offer a real example of discipleship in the way we served and the way we celebrated.  As we continue to celebrate Easter throughout this Eastertide, we recognize that we have all been called to witness to the risen Christ.  It is not only what we celebrate but how we celebrate that marks as true disciples of the crucified and risen one.  In a real sense Easter is what we are about as a people and this Easter we truly made Alleluia our song as we proclaim our joy.

Thank You
A sincere thank you to one and all who worked so hard to make holy week and Easter such a special occasion here at St. Francis de Sales.  Our music ministry under the direction of Kate Ogonek was superb.  The time and dedication that our choir members invested in their ministry was clearly present in the quality of our sung prayer.  To our altar servers who went above and beyond the call of suty in showing up for practice and liturgy, thank you.  Our lectors and Eucharistic ministers, so faithful, enabled us to enter more deeply into the pascal mystery.  To our ministers of hospitality, always with a smile, calmly guiding us through the church and the intricacies of the liturgies, thank you.    To Fr. John, Fr. Tony, and Fr. Dennis who presided with such joy during the triduum, thank you.  To Kathy Calderon, Alberto Pena, and Felicia Brito, who do so much behind the scenes to help make church “Happen”, thank you.  Finally a heartfelt thank you to each and every member of the parish who came out and supported our prayer with your prayer.  A continued blessed Easter to one and all.
