Parish Membership

by admin on January 30, 2010

Xmas-churchIf you want to belong to this parish please register with our office by giving us your address, by letter or e-mail. You will be added to the parish envelope list and you will receive parish envelopes to your address – to be used at Sunday Mass. All monies given to the church are tax deductible. We keep a record of donations given by people whom we know or use envelopes. We’ll also place you on the Archdiocesan stewardship plan. You may ask: are there benefits? There are. If you want to be a good Catholic, you need to care of your church. It is in the Bible. Besides, there is no question that if your Pastor or your priests recognize you as someone who goes to church regularly and contributes regularly you would be on their A list for anything. Besides money there are other ways: you can volunteer time and service.

Theology on Tap-NYC – March 1, 2010

by admin on January 30, 2010

Msgr-Robert-RitchieTheology on Tap-NYC (a young adult apostolate) presents “Does God Really Forgive Sins in the Confessional?” on March 1, 2010 at Metro 53 Bar, 307 East 53rd Street at 7pm-9pm.  Ever wonder why we need to tell our sins to a priest, whom many feel is a complete stranger to us? Can’t we talk to God directly to get forgiveness? If God knows what we do and forgives no matter what, then why do we need to go to confession? Come and find out this night! The speaker is the Rector of the Cathedral of St. Patrick, Monsignor Robert Ritchie. Visit us at www.totnyc.org.
